Patients Charter
Patients Charter
With the risk of cross infection from HIV, Hepatitis-B virus and other diseases, Foot Respect has produced a Patients’ Charter to ensure the safety of the patients attending the surgery, the Foot Health Professional (FHP) and staff members.
- Covid-19: For as long as the UK Government has guidelines to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus, both patients and staff must adhere to them. Those who have been vaccinated against Covid-19 are not exempt and must continue to comply. Your practitioner has been vaccinated against Covid-19.
- All instruments are sterilised in an autoclave at the required temperature for the required time to achieve sterilisation. This is to prevent cross infection.
- The surgery chair and work surfaces are disinfected between patients.
- The FHPs hands are washed with medicated soap and fresh single-use examination gloves are worn for each new patient.
- A full medical history of each patient is mandatory and will be taken on the first visit.
- Records will be kept up to date.
- Patient information will remain confidential and will only be shared with a health professional such as your GP.
- The feet will be disinfected before they are treated.
- When treatment requires the use of a scalpel, a new, sterile and disposable scalpel blade is used on each patient.
- All procedures performed on the patient will include the latest aseptic techniques.
- Foot Respect is committed to ongoing training to ensure the highest degree of treatment is delivered to the patient.
- Foot Respect is committed to provide a professional, personal and outstanding foot health treatment to each and every patient.
